Binary numbering system (1's and 0's) is a two state numbering systems
Computers are two state machines (ON and OFF)
This is why machines use the binary numbering system
Advantages
Voltage Degradation - data is not affected by this
Fewer rules of addition for the processor
Easy to represent the two states in storage devices
Disadvantages
